DESCRIPTION

This action aims to develop a study on the placement of elevators in buildings in the Les Planes neighborhood, in the city of Sant Joan Despí. Specifically, the City Council wants to identify which buildings with a ground floor plus three floors high (PB+3), which currently do not have an elevator, meet the technical requirements to be able to install them. With this action, it is expected to improve the quality of life of people, especially the elderly who reside in these communities.
The specific objectives of the study are, on the one hand, to prepare a census that identifies the ground floor+3 buildings without elevator that have structural possibilities to install them, considering that they are probably old buildings that were conceived without the intention of installing an elevator. On the other hand, we seek to estimate the unit cost of installing elevators in each of the buildings studied.
