DESCRIPTION
“Hope by Your Side” is a project of the Ayuda y Esperanza Foundation that aims to reduce the feeling of unwanted social isolation among older adults, foster continued and meaningful contact between people, strengthen community support networks, and personalize care according to each person’s needs.
The primary beneficiaries are older adults living alone who are at risk of social isolation and have unmet emotional needs, although it also targets other people in situations of emotional vulnerability who need emotional support to improve their well-being. It is expected to reach 2,350 beneficiaries.
The Metropolitan House Foundation will contribute, through a donation, to funding the entire project for one year.
Since 1986, the Ayuda y Esperanza Foundation has worked to promote and offer support to those who need it most, through urgent and immediate communication and guidance services, always within a framework of anonymity and confidentiality.
The organization provides social services with the aim of improving the quality of life and emotional well-being of people facing loneliness, isolation, or other situations that cause suffering, fostering a more supportive, welcoming, and resilient society.
