Agreements with the Sant Joan Despí City Council for the development of programs aimed at older people and children in the city
Metropolitan House Foundation will finance the programs “Don’t Left Behind”, to reduce the digital divide among older people, and “Music and Values” in the city’s daycare centers.
This week the Sant Joan Despí City Council and the Metropolitan House Foundation have signed 2 agreements for the promotion of cultural and educational programs in the city. The event was attended by Belén García, Mayor of Sant Joan Despí, José Vicente Muñoz and Rafael Angulo, General Director and President of the Metropolitan House Foundation respectively, and Àlex Medrano, Councilor for Culture, Associative Promotion and Tourism of the Sant Joan Despí City Council.
On the one hand, the Foundation’s collaboration has been signed in the “DON’T LEFT BEHIND” program, an initiative that aims to facilitate to older people the access to information technologies and avoid the digital divide. The objective is to work and introduce the most important values with music as the main axis, whether through singing, listening instruments, dance, musical stories or movement.
On the other hand, Metropolitan House Foundation will finance the development of the “MUSIC AND VALUES” program, aimed at children (between 8 months and 3 years) in the municipality’s daycare centers. The objective is to work and introduce the most important values with music as the main axis, whether through singing, listening to instruments, dance, musical stories or movement.
