The agreement establishes the collaboration for the joint development of projects between the Metropolitan House Foundation and the Families of Mentally Ill People of L’Hospitalet Association (AFEMHOS).
The Metropolitan House Foundation and the Families of Mentally Ill People of L’Hospitalet Association (AFEMHOS) have signed today an agreement regulating the collaboration between both entities on projects or activities they jointly agree to develop.
AFEMHOS is a non-profit association founded in 1988 with the aim of promoting the integration of people with mental health problems and offering support to their families, while also advocating for the active involvement of society and institutions in improving quality of life and combating the stigma surrounding them.
With more than 35 years of experience, AFEMHOS’s work focuses on promoting social integration, offering care and guidance services to families—including legal advice and psychological support—as well as promoting spaces for emotional support, participation, training, and awareness-raising that contribute to improving quality of life and combating stigma. With a strong community focus, AFEMHOS works in a network with other organizations and institutions, promoting the people-focussed care and building a more inclusive society.
