2nd Edition of the Best Master’s Thesis (TFM) Award on Decent and Sustainable Housing

Sustainable and Circular Building with Timber: Research and Strategic Perspectives for Further Implementation” by Anna Olivia Hojer Hansen was the Master’s Thesis awarded by the Chair in Decent and Sustainable Housing, in the second edition of this award.

The Chair in Decent and Sustainable Housing of the UPF Barcelona School of Management, promoted in collaboration with the Metropolitan House Foundation, has awarded the Best Master’s Thesis (TFM) Award on Decent and Sustainable Housing for the second consecutive year. This award seeks to promote young talent who drive projects aimed at promoting innovative solutions in the real estate sector, especially those aimed at improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable people in our society.

The awards ceremony took place on May 28 at the UPF Barcelona School of Management, and was attended by the three jury members: Dr. Susana Domingo, Vice Dean of Knowledge Transfer at UPF-BSM and Director of the Executive MBA; Dr. Ramon Bastida, Director of the Chair of Decent and Sustainable Housing; and Josep Lluís Pellicer, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Metropolitan House Foundation.

The first prize was awarded to Anna Olivia Hojer Hansen, a student on the Master of Science in Sustainability Management at BSM-UPF, who followed the event via streaming, for her work “Sustainable and Circular Building with Timber: Research and Strategic Perspectives for Further Implementation”.

 

At the same event, a special mention was awarded to the work “Housing, the Basis of Emancipation. Comparative Analysis of European Housing and Emancipation Systems,” by Josep Catot Bragós, a student on the Master in Public and Social Policies at BSM-UPF.
